Magar helps people discover, create, and join local sports events. This policy explains how Magar handles information when you use the mobile app and related services.
Magar handles account information such as email, name, username, profile picture, optional profile location, and sign-in provider information. It handles sports activity including events you create or join, event details, participation, and event locations.
Foreground device location is used to center the map and find nearby events. Coordinates selected for an event are stored and displayed with that event. Magar also handles moderation reports, blocked-user relationships, request metadata, service logs, and data processed by integrated service providers.
Information is used for authentication, profiles, maps, event discovery and participation, realtime updates, account security, support, moderation, abuse prevention, reliability, and non-personalized advertising.
Magar uses Google Sign-In, Google Mobile Ads, OpenFreeMap/MapLibre, OpenStreetMap Nominatim, and Hetzner Cloud. These providers may process information under their own privacy policies.
Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes. Refresh tokens are stored as hashes, mobile tokens use secure device storage, and production traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Information is kept while needed to operate and protect the service or meet legal obligations.
Users can permanently delete their account inside the app. Account deletion removes the profile, created events, participation records, and active sessions, subject to limited retention required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or resolved moderation records.
Magar is not directed to children under 13.
